Synopsis |
|
An outspoken performer from the
Midwest journeys to New York to
become a drag queen. The character
he creates, the Plug Lady, becomes a
huge hit and he attains a level of
fame he did not think possible.
Living in the city as a woman, he
quickly realizes he is more
comfortable as a "she," and begins
the process of gender
transformation. As he fosters a
close friendship with the owner of
the cabaret where he performs, and
gets involved with a ruffian drug
dealer, he learns to embrace himself
as the true woman he thinks he can
be. |
