About the life and work of Dr.
Magnus Hirschfeld, a gay German Jew
living in 19th-century Berlin.
Hirschfeld's realization of his
homosexuality in his teen years
leads to his research on the matter,
which results in his establishment
of the first gay political group and
the first medical practice for gays,
the Institute of Sexual Science,
which is destroyed by the Nazis
along with most of his life's work. |
