Synopsis
Perhaps the most controversial film of its time due to its portrayal of homosexuality, the story follows a cop as he enters Manhattan's gay scene in search of a psychotic killer who has been murdering gay men.

The filming was picketed due to it's negative stereotyping of gay men. Interesting Trivia: One day the demonstrators picketed another film lensing in Manhattan at the same time, Can't Stop The Music, thinking it was Cruising. Nancy Walker (the director) had to go explain to the mob that they were on the wrong set saying, "We're the good guys!"
