Synopsis |
|
The first TV movie to deal with the
subject of AIDS, An Early Frost is a
thoughtful and undeniably powerful
drama. Quinn stars as Michael, a
successful gay lawyer who learns he
has been infected with the HIV
virus. He decides to tell his
family, who do not even know he is
gay. The effect of his announcement
on him and his family is at the core
of the heartfelt story. Quinn gives
a sensitive though commanding
performance, and Rowlands, Gazzara
and especially Sydney offer strong
support as his parents and
grandmother. Glover is remarkable as
a dying patient Michael befriends.
An Emmy Award winner for Best
Screenplay. |
